Parkinsons Disease

  • Parkinson’s disease is a progressive disorder that is caused by degeneration of nerve cells in the part of the brain called the substantia nigra which controls movement. These nerve cells die or become impaired, losing the ability to produce an important chemical called dopamine.


Parkinson's disease is a brain disorder that causes problems like

  • Tremor(shaking) in hands, arms, legs, jaw or head.
  • Stiffness of limb & trunk
  • Difficulty with walking, balance and coordination.
  • As the disease progresses, people may have difficulty in talking.
  • They may also have mental and behavioral changes, sleep problems, depression, memory difficulties and fatigue.
